hello! i'm jaimee. i'm a nineteen year-old psychology major and likely a health minor.
a large part of my life is devoted to healthy living and my constant journey to be better. to happiness, i guess you could say. i try my best to honor my body and mind by running, practicing yoga, and eating a vegetarian diet.
this is a tumblr chronicling all of those things. enjoy!

today is my last long run.

8 miles.

13.1 saturday.

it’s a good thing it’s finals week or else i’d be overthinking the hell out of this.

mostly i’m just excited to sleep in over winter break.

happyhealthyhopeful:

If you think that the universe, the world around you is just going to get better- IT IS NOT.
You have control. You have the perspective.
Things do not just change and happen and get better when you just sit there, wishing for it to get better.
You must initiate it.

If you change nothing, nothing will change.

ferrygirlsearch:

Hello. For the past four months I have been regretting my decision to not talk to you on the ferry and now I’ve decided to do something about it. It was August 8th when we first saw each other on the express bus out of Vancouver to horseshoe bay. We both took the ferry to Departure bay. Halfway through the trip the boat stopped for a safety drill and we saw each other on the upper deck. You were taking pictures and then leaned on the rail beside me. As much as I wanted to, I never said anything, and I’ve never regretted anything more than that. I think you are the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen and I would very much like to meet you.

If you are her, Email me at: ferrygirlsearch@gmail.com

Reblog this to help me find her. Please.

i would marry this guy

why not

12.5 miles and 2 breakfasts done by 11am.

now to see if my friend wants to study for our final together. if not, i will do it by my lonesome.

12.5 miles = from my normal start point to the bridge, over the bridge and back twice, then back to start.

still digesting my food though. my stomach feels off. eek.

tomorrow, i’m running 12.5 miles.

across the bridge 4 times—10.9 miles with a ton of incline, plus the leftover miles through downtown.

my last long run before my race because next week i’m doing 8 flat miles.

tapering begins this week, with 3 miles on alternate days (maybe?) (mwf) plus 8 miles sunday.

next week i don’t know what i’m doing.

i’m really excited though.

The struggle starts when you focus on what is lacking.
